WORKING WITH COMPETENCIES |

During the course, participants will be introduced to skills and techniques that
underpin competency development. The course explores a range of approaches designed
to match the needs of a variety of organisations. Rather than take a prescriptive
approach, participants will be encouraged to take account of the culture, attitudes,
flexibility and open-mindedness to change within their organization before embarking
on a competency-based initiative.

During the two day programme, participants will learn the techniques and build the
skills that will allow them to:
- Identify success factors for positions within the organization
- Produce effective competencies that will act as a guide or ‘competency’ for people
to understand what it takes to succeed within the organization
- Understand the implications of using competencies within in the organisation
- Better develop career paths
- Increase the success and minimize bias in recruitment, promotion and personal development
- Identify and develop high potentials
