Measuring Employee Engagement: the EEQ

A high level of staff turnover costs companies in money, resources and productivity. Measuring the level of employee engagement helps you to highlight what issues are creating dissatisfaction in your organisation so that you can take action.

Increasing fulfilment and engagement results in:

  • Lower staff turnover – people are less inclined to look for alternative employment if they are committed to their jobs.
  • Higher productivity and quality - as people are more engaged with their roles they care more about the results.
  • Reduced sickness leave – people who are fulfilled by their work suffer less stress and are likely to stay healthier.

Human Factors International has designed The Employee Engagement Questionnaire (EEQ) around a set of carefully crafted behavioural questions that cover the seven key factors that lead to fulfilment in a job role. HFI’s EEQ is the only engagement questionnaire which provides both a report for each individual and also a corporate report showing the engagement of the group of participants. Our consultant presents the results to the senior team and facilitate a discussion within the context of the organisation’s values and objectives. The outcome is an action plan for improving engagement.

Assessing Teams – Teametric

Teametric is hfi’s team dynamics questionnaire. It measures how far these factors are in place in your team. Teametric identifies specific actions that teams can take to continually improve and it measures the team’s improvement over time.

Measuring Operational Culture – the OCQ

The Organisational Culture Questionnaire (OCQ) is an employee survey that explores the processes, values and attitudes prevalent within the organisation today.  Employees’ responses are analysed and presented in a comprehensive report, the results of which can be compared against previous results to track changes over time. They can also be benchmarked against other organisations to provide a comparative study.
