Thank you to all who attended the live event for making it a huge success. Please let us know if you have any follow-up questions about the topic or would like to know more about ways in which we can help you embrace cultural diversity in your global leadership plan.
If you have, or are working towards, a culturally diverse workforce, you will find that you have to deal with a range of different approaches to leadership. Some are action-oriented, leading from the front, whilst others are more subtle, providing guidance where needed and otherwise keeping out of the way. If you try to impose the same leadership behavior expectations on all leaders, regardless of location or culture, you will find it impossible to build a successful global leadership pipeline and are likely to find your model is underutilized in overseas locations.
Yet it can’t be ignored. According to 94% of surveyed individuals in a recent HCI research report globally competitive leaders are instrumental in the success of an organization’s international efforts.
Organizations that understand and are able to embrace cultural differences in leadership find it easier to build and develop diverse leadership populations that result in a more flexible and dynamic business.
