Quality General Managers are the backbone of a successful hospitality organization in giving your business the ‘competitive edge’. The GM assessment measures the core competencies associated with successful hospitality performance, components which may not be apparent on a resume or during an interview.
We have assessed hundreds of GM’s and their personality profiles come through very similar. Their key characteristics are:
For their General Reasoning overall GM’s score in the top 55% of the international executives group: verbal reasoning in top 50% and numerical reasoning in top 55%
As for their management style GMs have two: Stakeholder Management Style where a GM is unlikely to be confrontational and are very willing to go along with stakeholder requirements. The second style is a Downward Management Style where the GM tends to be directive and fairly participative. They also delegate but do not abdicate their decision making.
GM’s primarily tend to be motivated by Pride: doing something which is of value to others and is valued by them.
